Application
Fill out and submit our Adoption Application providing as much information as possible for our team to review.

Screening
Our team reviews your application and conducts a phone interview to discuss specific bird needs and compatibility.

Meet & Greet
Visit our rescue to meet potential birds. This allows for natural bonding and testing of long-term compatibility.

Home Inspection
We conduct a virtual or in-person home visit to ensure safety protocols are in place for your new flyer.
05
Finalization
Sign the adoption contract, pay the fee, and welcome your feathered companion into their forever home.
Life After Adoption
Once you bring your bird home, our commitment continues. We will follow-up with you 30 days after you take your adoption day to ensure they are happy and healthy. From there, we offer lifetime support and behavioral guidance. From diet advice to enrichment ideas, we ensure that both you and your new feathered family member thrive together in this beautiful new chapter of your lives.
Adoption Rules

You must be at least 18 years of age.

You may not adopt to breed the parrot.

You may not re-sell, trade, auction, or rent the parrot for profit.

If you must surrender the bird, you must contact Crooked Feather Parrot Rescue, Inc.

You must not abandon or release the parrot outdoors.
